Overview
Kafni Glacier is located in Bageshwer district of Uttarakhandand. It is the source of the Kafni River, a tributary of the Pindar River. Kafni glacier is situated on the east side of Pindar valley and south of Nanda kot peak. This region is very rich in wildlife. The route to Pindari Kafni glacier is same till Dwali.The Himalayas peaks near the glacier are Nandakot (6860 mtrs), Nanda bhanar (6104 mtrs).
Best Season: Mid-April to end of November. Avoid travelling in monsoon season.

Detailed Itinerary Of Kafni Glacier Trek:
DAY 1: Drive From Kathgodam To Khati Village Via Almora/ Bageshwar (210 Kms, 9-10 HRS, Altitude 2210 Mtr.)
We pick you up early in the morning from Kathgodam Railway station and drive from Kathgodam to Bageshwar via almora and then proceed our journey to Khati village.Bageshwar is situated at the confluence of river Saryu, Gomati. Khati is the largest and last village on the Kafni and Pindari Glacier trek. Khati village is situated on the banks of Pinder River at an altitude of 2210m. Enjoy your stay in Khati Village by interacting with villagers and visiting the Khati Village temple. Overnight stay at Khati.
Day 2: Trek From Khati To Dwali (Trek 12 KM. Altitude 2,575 Mtr.)
We start the trek with delicious breakfast in Khati Village. Today’s trek is long but it’s easy one. The trek from Khati Village to Dwali is picturesque and full of natural beauty. Today's trek goes along with Pindar River with two wooden bridges to cross. The trail passes through thick forest of Rhododendrons. Overnight stay at Dwali in tents.
Day 3: Trek From Dwali To Khatiya (6Km Trek Approx, Altitude 3314 Mtr.)
After breakfast we start our trek from Dwali to Khatiya. Khatia is at an altitude of 3314 meters approximate. Today we walked very close to the Kafni river for some time and admire the natural beauty of the trek. Overnight camp in Khatiya.
Day 4: Trek From Khatiya To Kafni Glacier & Back To Khatiya (11KM. Trek Approx, Altitude 3860 Mtr)
Today is going to be a big day. We start early for Kafni Glacier after breakfast. The views on trek are amazing. After enjoying the beauty of the Himalayas trek back to Khatiya. Overnight camp in Khatiya.
Day 5: Trek From Khatiya To Khati Village (17KM. Trek Approx,)
Trek back to Khati Village to enjoy one more day stay with hospitable villagers of Khati and share your stories of the trek. Overnight camp in Khati village.
DAY 6: DRIVE FROM KHATI TO KATHGODAM VIA BAGESHWAR/ALMORA ( DRIVE 210KM. 9-10 HRS APPROX)
Today Jeep will be waiting to drive you Kathgodam with treasured memories of the Kafni Glacier Trek. Start early in the morning if you plan reaching Kathgodam by evening. Trip ends here with unforgettable memories. After that you will continue your drive to your respective places.
How to get to Kathgodam:
The Kathgodam station is one of the main stations in the district and it is an old station. It has good connectivity to many places and these include Lucknow, Delhi, and Howrah.
By Flight: Kathgodam does not have an airport.Nearest airport is Pantnager Airport 30km From Kathgodam. Kathgodam is 184 km away from Dehra Dun Airport. Kathgodam is 239 km away from Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi,
By Train: You can easily get regular trains to Kathgodam Railway Station from other major cities of the country.
From Delhi take the Ranikhet Express (5014) Dep. Delhi at 10:40pm arrival Kathgodam at 5:30am (Overnight Journey) or the Uttar sampark kranti (5035) Dep. Delhi at 4:00pm arrival Kathgodam at 10:40pm (6 hrs.40min.Journey).From Dehardun take the Doon Express (4120) Dep. Dehardun at 10:30 pm arrival Kathgodam at 7:10 pm (8hrs.journey)
By Bus: - Regular buses ply from ISBT Delhi Anand Vihar station to Kathgodam. Buses that go to Nainital stops at Haldwani which is a twin town of Kathgodham (8 hrs. Journey)

In the event of cancellation of trek/adventure activity services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: -
Cancellation prior to 24 days from the start of the trek get 75% refund.
Cancellation between 23 days and 14 days to the start of the trek get 70% refund.
Cancellation between 13 days and 10 days to the start of the trek get 50% refund.
Cancellation less than 09 days to the start of the trek No cash refund.
